Genetic relationship of the small subunit nuclear ribosomal DNA sequence of Strongyloides sp. collected form Thoroughbred horses in Australia determined in this study. The relationships were inferred based on phylogenetic analyses of the 18S data using Bayesian inference (BI) and distance-based neighbour-joining (NJ) methods. Halicephalobus gingivalis was used as the outgroup. There was a concordance in the topology between this BI tree and that produced using the NJ method (not shown). Nodal support is given as a posterior probability for BI, and bootstrap values for NJ were below 50%, hence not provided on this tree. The scale bar indicates the number of inferred substitutions per nucleotide site
