All the plots showed a sigmoidal decrease in viability with increasing DOX concentrations. For MDA-MB-468 cells, the IC50 values for DOX loaded targeted origami, DOX loaded nontargeted origami and free DOX were 182 nM, 1861 and 5740 nM, respectively. For MDA-MB-231 cells, the IC50 values for DOX loaded targeted origami, DOX loaded nontargeted origami and free DOX were 371 nM, 1440 nM and 4188 nM, respectively This implied higher efficacy of folate-targeted DOX delivery was achieved with DOX-loaded folate-functionalized DNA origami nanostructures.
