Activated expression of two starvation-induced genes is reduced in ΔHHP1 cells. Northern analyses of HHT1, HHT3, ngoA, and CyP expression were performed. Total RNA (10 μg) was isolated from wild-type, ΔH1, and ΔHHP1 cells at 250,000 cells/ml during log-phase growth (Growing) or after a 24-h starvation (Starved).
