The results of the methanolic plant extracts, which reduced glucose uptake between 40 and 80% in treated cells significantly compared to untreated cells in a concentration of 1 mg/ml. The extracts were made from different parts of the plants enclosed in brackets. The solutions of 100 µM phloretin and 100 µM phlorizin were used as positive controls and inhibited glucose uptake in Caco2 cells by approximately 60%.
