The fhy3 mutants have seed dormancy and germination responses. A, Diagram of light treatments. Seeds were sown on plates under white light (WL) within 1 h and then exposed to far-red (FR) light for 5 min followed by a subsequent 5-min red (R) light pulse (phyB-on) or not (phyB-off). Seeds were incubated in darkness at 22°C for 4 d before recording germination frequency. B and D, Germination phenotype.
