The proposed working model. Light-activated phyB interacts with FHY3 and promotes its protein accumulation, whereas FHY3 negatively feedback inhibits phyB expression. FHY3 directly regulates the expression of SPT (in the Col ecotype), RVE2, and RVE7, but indirectly regulates RVE1 expression. The encoded transcription factors in turn control GA3ox2 transcript levels, resulting in a change of bioactive GA levels and thus seed dormancy or germination.
