Model 3 controls for child (gender, race/ethnicity, low birth weight status, Medicaid birth status), maternal (self-reported health at year 3, educational attainment, age at childbirth, foreign-born status, relationship with child’s biological father at year 3, current depression status at years 5 and 9 in those respective models, parental history of depression), and household (income at year 3, number of children at year 3) factors.
