Figure 4: Deficiency of Adam15 in mice increases lung levels of mediators that promote CS-induced lung inflammation and destruction.

Figure 4:

WT and Adam15−/− mice were exposed to air or CS for 1 month (Mo), lung levels of Ccl-2 (A; n = 10-12 mice/group), Cxcl-10 (B; n = 7 mice/group), Gm-csf (C; n = 10-12 mice/group), Mmp-12 (D; n = 8 mice/group), Il-10 (E; n = 10-12 mice/group), Il-6 (F; n = 14-22 mice/group), Il-1β (G; n = 13-22 mice/group) and granzyme A (H; n = 8 mice/group) were measured in homogenates of lung samples using commercial ELISA kits. Data were normalized to total protein levels measured in the same samples. The boxes in the box-plots show the medians and 25th and 75th percentiles, and the whiskers show the 10th and 90th percentiles. Data were analyzed using a Kruskal-Wallis One-Way ANOVA followed by pair-wise testing with Mann-Whitney U tests. *, P ≤ 0.025 versus air-exposed mice belonging to the same genotype or the group indicated.
