Kaplan-Meier survival model estimating the risk of intensive care unit (ICU) usage in patients with diabetes infected with COVID-19 from 21 January to 6 November. The risk of ICU usage was stratified by adequate glycemic control (longitudinal HbA1c 6%–9%, n=14 038) and poor glycemic control (longitudinal HbA1c higher than 9%, n=2466), shown with 95% CI. A non-diabetic control group was added for comparison (n=379 701).
