A snapshot of how a scan on an AI-enabled platform looks - the AI automatically segments the region of interest. For example: the red bounding box demarcates the right knee, while the yellow bounding box demarcates the left knee. Right, and left knee segmentation has been done by training the AI model to identify the location of fibula and DICOM metadata. On the top left corner, a text box shows the AI confidence to recognise if the finding is correct. Such a system is not used as a stand-alone but as a force multiplier by having specific algorithms to identify regions of interest. Other algorithms can build upon this and further identify the abnormality, with the development and addition of such algorithms being a continuous step.
