Linear regression indicated a significant interaction between top SNP rs6850524 of a clump containing 94 SNPs in the CLOCK gene and exposure to recent life events (RLE) on current depression symptoms (BSI-dep) in the additive model, with the minor C allele as a risk allele. Linear regression indicated a significant interaction between CLOCK rs6850524 genotype and recent stressful life events (RLE) on current depression scores according to the additive model as top SNP (p = 0.0004, FDR Q = 0.013). Presence of the minor C allele was associated with higher depression scores in subjects exposed to more severe recent life events conveying a risk effect.
