XIST inhibition alleviated CaOx crystal deposition and CaOx nephrocalcinosis-induced inflammatory and oxidative kidney injury via the XIST-miR-223-3p-NLRP3 ceRNA pathway. Polarization microscopy and Pizzolato staining were used to detect the crystal deposition in CaOx nephrocalcinosis model mice injected with rAAV-sh-XIST, antagomiR-223-3p, or both. (b) Kidney injuries were observed in CaOx nephrocalcinosis mice injected with rAAV-sh-XIST, antagomiR-223-3p, or both by PAS and TUNEL staining. The levels of NLRP3, Caspase-1, IL-1β (c), and SOD2 and NOX2 (d) in renal tissues were detected via IHC. The data are presented as the mean ± SD of three independent experiments.
