Stressosome formation in Casp9 −/− MEFs in response to different stress stimuli. Casp9 −/− MEFs were treated with vehicle, etoposide and paclitaxel for 72 h or γ‐irradiated and heat shocked followed by recovery for 72 h in the presence of Boc‐D‐FMK (20 μM, added 48 h before cell lysis). Proteins were immunoprecipitated with either control IgG or anti‐FADD antibodies. Immune complexes were analysed by immunoblotting for ATG5, FADD and pro‐caspase‐8.
