Big transendothelial and interendothelial channels, discontinuous or absent basal membrane, and detached pericytes make tumor blood vessels hyperpermeable to circulating molecules. Stromal components such as fibroblasts, collagen and hyaluronan could compress blood vessels and make some vessels partially open or totally collapsed
