Students in IntroLab gave written responses to the prompt, “How did this [laboratory] module change your understanding of how research is done?” Responses were coded using topically for five primary features of CUREs (5). The differences between the CURE and traditional labs were not statistically significant for any category (Student's t test, single-tailed; P > 0.05).
