Itraconazole-induced autophagy promotes cell death by activating LC3B. (A) COLO 205 and HCT 116 cells were transfected with scrambled siRNA or LC3B siRNA and subsequently treated with 50 or 60 µM itraconazole for 24 h. Western blot analysis was performed to detect the protein expression levels of LC3B, p62, Beclin-1, Cleaved caspase-3, caspase-3, Bax and β-actin. Protein expression was quantified using ImageJ software (Version 1.50i; National Institutes of Health).
