Results are presented for the initial (0) and final (20) generations (G). Traits simulated were daily milk yield (DMY, kg/day), productive life (Long, day), kidding age (KA, months), mastitis (Mast, 0/1), and resilience or stability (Res/Stab; kg/°C/day). A phenotypic index not accounting for resilience/stability in the breeding goal (Index0) is presented. Economic profits (€/L) are presented under the current climatic scenario (Profit0) and for an increase of +1°C (Profit1) and +2°C (Profit2) of the average temperature. Economic losses for milk yield under the +1°C (Losses1) and +2°C (Losses2) temperature changes are calculated in comparison with the respective base scenario. Most favorable scenario shaded in gray.
*Index0 was computed as a phenotypic index that combined all traits except resilience (Res), using the same weights as those in the base strategy.
1Profit0 was computed as an economic index that combined all traits (phenotypic values) weighted by economic weights described in Sorensen et al. (2010), Lopes et al. (2012), and Fuerst-Waltl et al. (2018). Profit1 and Profit2 are similar to Profit0 but considering losses in production due to temperature variation of 1 and 2°C, respectively.
