Chronnectomicsrelated methods

Method Short description
Dwell‐time (DT) Dwell time measures the time (when used in functional connectivity microstates) in which a state is active consecutive temporal segments. (Dimitriadis et al., 2019)
Flexibility index (FI)

In the context of graph clustering, flexibility is the frequency of a node change module allegiance, the transition of brain states between consecutive

temporal segments. The higher the number of changes, the larger the FI will be. (Bassett et al., 2011)

Occupancy time (OT) The fraction of number of distinct symbols occurring in the symbolic time series (Dimitriadis et al., 2019).
Markov matrix Markov matrix (also referred to as ‘transition matrix’) is a square matrix that tabulates the observed transition probabilities between symbols for a finite Markov Chain. It is a first‐order descriptor by which the next symbol depends only on the current symbol (and not on the previous ones); a Markov Chain model (Dimitriadis et al., 2019).
Transition rate (TR) The total sum of transition between symbols (Dimitriadis et al., 2019).
