sCMRs were enriched for CpG islands, mQTLs and repressive chromatin states. (A) sCMRs were enriched for CpG island and shores based on the annotation from the Infinium Human Methylation 450K BeadChip manifest. sCMRs were also enriched for sites previously reported to be under genetic influence (mQTLs) in adult whole blood samples (B) (58,59) as well as repressed chromatin states (C) (54). In (A), categories shown in dark green are those with significant enrichments based on a Fisher exact test q value < 0.05 following Benjamini–Hochberg multiple test correction.
