sCMRs were linked to sex hormone biology. (A) sCMR were enriched for sites whose DNAm levels are linked to sex hormone levels. Significance was based on a Fisher exact test q value < 0.05 following Benjamini–Hochberg multiple test correction. (B) Eleven sCMRs showed significant changes in DNAm levels in HTB-22 breast cancer cells based on estradiol treatment.
