SER represents a ratio of the area under the curve for control verses treated cells using a survival fraction baseline of 0.1. DEF provides a ratio of survival fractions for control/AuNP treated at a single fixed dose point e.g., 2 Gy and 4 Gy, the survival fractions of which are extrapolated from the LQ survival curve. Similarly, α and β values have been extrapolated from LQ survival curves
