GRIP1 N-terminal and C-terminal fragments independently enhance activity of full-length AR. CV-1 cells were transiently transfected with 0.25 μg of pSVAR₀ encoding full-length AR, 0.5 μg of rPB-CAT reporter gene (CAT gene driven by rat probasin promoter), and 1.25 μg of pSG5.HA vector encoding no coactivator (−), full-length (FL) GRIP1, or the indicated GRIP1 fragment. CAT activity was determined from extracts of cells grown with or without DHT as indicated.
