| Interventions |
Intravenous oxytocin (maximum 16 mU/min) versus intravenous prostaglandin F2alpha (maximum 20 ug/min). Infusions doubled every hour until labour was established (maximum of three doublings). If after 10 hours, labour did not ensue, other unspecified methods were used. Amniotomy was performed after 90 minutes or when possible. |
