The VLA-4 (very late antigen 4) binding sequence impacts leukocyte adhesion. (A) recombinant CC16 (club cell secretory protein) (rCC16) (WT) dose-dependently inhibited fluorescent THP-1 adhesion to human endothelial cells after TNF-α activation, whereas D67A was significantly less active.
