Correlation between serum pituitary adenylate-cyclase activating polypeptide (PACAP) and vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) levels. (A) A positive correlation between serum levels of PACAP and VIP in the total groups (Pearson’s correlation coefficient r = 0.478, P < 0.001, and n = 143). (B) A positive correlation between serum levels of PACAP and VIP in the PD group (Pearson’s correlation coefficient r = 0.261, P < 0.05, and n = 72).
