Table 1. Context and sample information for teeth sampled for oxygen and strontium stable isotope analysis.

The period of tooth mineralization is given as the age in months of the start of enamel mineralization to the age when enamel mineralization is complete. Tooth mineralization data are based on studies of modern horses (42) and bison (43) (who are very similar to cattle in tooth formation).
