Fig. 2 — Both the younger (< 50 years) and older (≥ 50 years) groups displayed improvement in the median CFT and BCVA (logMAR). Mann-Whitney U test revealed that the improvement in median central foveal thickness was greater in the younger group, compared with the older group at the twelfth month (−52 um against − 30 um, respectively; p = 0.038). However, the improvement in median BCVA (logMAR) in the two groups, at the third and twelfth months, were not statistically significant (− 0.42 logMAR against − 0.34 logMAR, respectively; P = 0.0832)
