Readmission is defined as hospitalization to the same or different hospital for any reason within the following year after discharge (9). LOS was defined as hospital days per admission (days), and the number of days of an admission was calculated as the number of midnights during the admission dates, with the exception of a patient discharged on the same day who was allocated a 1-day LOS (5). TM, telemonitoring; ER, emergency room; AE, acute exacerbation; LOS, length of stay; HRQoL, health-related quality of life; SGRQ, St. George's Respiratory Questionnaire; EQ-5D, EuroQol five-dimension scale; EQ-VAS, EuroQol visual analog scale; HADS-A, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale-Anxiety; HADS-D, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale-Depression; 6MWT, 6-min walking test.
