Vaccine coverage in the study population. We illustrate trends in age-specific coverage of immunization against PCV7-type (solid lines) and PVC13-type (dotted lines) antigens in the Bedouin and Jewish populations, among all children enrolled in the study. Israel added PCV7 to the pediatric vaccination schedule in late 2009, using a 2 + 1 dosing scheme, with a catch-up campaign for children under 2 years old. The substitution of PCV13 for PCV7 began in November 2010. We fitted trends to data using smoothing splines with 5 knots.
