Crosslinking reaction between GNP and gelatin. The initial step is nucleophilic attack of an amine group in the gelatin structure to ester chain in GNP molecule, leading to an open ring of GNP. Another amine group from the gelatin compound then further attacks the methoxy carbonyl group in the GNP structure to produce a crosslinked network.
