(A): Growth of DU145 and PC3 prostate cancer cells without irradiation. Cells were treated with 0.1, 0.2, or 0.4 µg/mL curcumin and then assessed by MTT assay. Controls remained untreated. (B): Growth of DU145 and PC3 prostate cancer cells treated with curcumin and visible light (5 min at 1.65 J/cm2). Controls were irradiated without curcumin. Each experiment was performed in triplicate and repeated 6 times. Data from one representative experiment is shown.
