HLMVEC were incubated for 6 h in fresh RPMI1640 (control) or in MDM conditioned medium (MDM-CM), as described in Figure 5. The expression of the indicated genes (left and middle panels) was then measured by means of RT-qPCR, normalized for that of the housekeeping gene RPL15, and expressed relative to none in control cells (=1); data are means ± SEM of three experiments, each performed in duplicate. * p < 0.05, vs. none in control, with “one-sample t-test”. The amount of the tissue factor (TF) protein was assessed by means of Western Blot analysis, as described in Materials and Methods (right panel); the representative blot shown was repeated twice and gave comparable results.
