Cytokine production by splenic cells of EAE mice previously infected with C. tropicalis. Female C57BL/6 mice were infected with 1 × 106 viable C. tropicalis yeasts three days before EAE induction and evaluated for cytokine production on the 16th day after EAE induction. IFN-γ (A), TNF-α (B), IL-6 (C), IL-17 (D), IL-2 (E), and IL-10 (F) levels were quantified in total leukocyte culture supernatant of spleen stimulated with C. tropicalis yeasts killed by heat and pressure (25 × 106/mL) or stimulated with MOG35–55 (20 µg/mL).
