CC50 (50% cytotoxic concentration) refers to compound concentration that caused a 50% reduction in viability.
IC50 (50% inhibitory concentration) refers to compound concentration required to reduce viral titres by 50% compared with untreated controls.
The Selectivity Index (SI) was calculated as the ratio of the CC50 to the IC50.
CC20 (20% cytotoxic concentration) was taken as the non-toxic concentration to be employed in the antiviral assays.
Results are mean values of 3 independent experiments.
