EndMT related transcription factors such as Snail, Slug, ZEB, TWIST, and FoxC2 are governed by upstream signalings including BMP, TGF-β, FGF, and Notch, which in turn regulate endothelial and mesenchymal gene expression, ultimately inducing EndMT.
