Inactivation of Influenza A virus in PBS by 405 nm irradiation. (A) A dose of 0.6 mW cm⁻² was applied to irradiate samples at 405 nm over a course 8 h while sampling at 1, 2, 4 and 8 h (done in independent triplicates). Blue bars indicate treated samples and red bars correspond to the untreated equivalent that was left at the biosafety cabinet under the same conditions while not subjected to disinfecting irradiation. Data shown as PFUml⁻¹ in triplicate assessed by plaque assay. (B) Plaque phenotype comparison from one independent experiment at an irradiation dose of 0.6 mW cm⁻².
