mRNA expression of IgLON family members in the developing brain. In situ hybridization of coronal sections of brains from E16 embryos with antisense cRNA probes specific for IgLON1 (A), IgLON2 (B), IgLON3 (C), IgLON4 (D), and IgLON5 (E) transcripts. IgLON1–5 are widely expressed in the brain but show differential expression in certain regions, such as the cortex and thalamus. IgLON-1, 2, 3 and 5, are expressed in the developing cortex (Cx), while IgLON1–5 are expressed in the habenula (Hb) and various nuclei of thalamus (Th) (A, B, C, D, E). Scale bar = 1 mm.
