Various stages of growth of shoots derived from meristems of drug-type cannabis genotypes grown on a multiplication medium (MM) containing activated charcoal. (A) Meristem explants placed on an agar medium in a 90-mm Petri dish to show their small size. (B) Early shoot growth after 4 weeks in culture from a meristem. (C) Shoot growth after 8 weeks. (D,E) Shoot growth after 10 weeks from meristems. (F) Baby food jars containing meristem explants at different stages of development in a controlled environment growth chamber.
