Data for meristems were collected after 10 weeks in culture and for nodal explants after 6 weeks in culture.

b

Within each explant type, genotypes were compared with each other for shoot height, number of buds produced, and number of shoots. Data presented are from 10 explants, and the experiment was conducted three times (n = 30). Means were compared following ANOVA, and means separation was achieved by Tukey's honestly significant difference (HSD) test. Means within a column followed by the same letter are not significantly different at P < 0.05.
