Colchicine inhibits inflammasome action and reduces supernatant levels of IL-1β. THP1 cells (macrophage cell line) were stimulated with monosodium urate (MSU) or calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate (CPPD) crystals in the presence or absence of colchicine.
