After the initial screening of applications from epilepsy centers/clinics throughout Japan according to the official email list of the Japanese Epilepsy Society, 19 hospitals and 4 clinics were nominated. We sent our questionnaire to 173 candidates, of which 142 responded. Among the 142 respondents, 4 were excluded because they had not engaged in any clinical neurophysiology test within 2 weeks. Another 10 respondents were excluded for not engaging in any EEG study. Finally, 128 responses were analyzed of this study. EEG: electroencephalography.
