One-way sensitivity analysis of short-term morbidity due to common vaccine side effects. The morbidity associated with each vaccine dose is shown on the x-axis. In the base case, we deduct 0.42 quality-adjusted days of life for each vaccine dose received. An mRNA vaccine remains preferred unless the short-term morbidity associated with each day is greater than 1.8 days. This would be equivalent to a quality of life of zero for a time period exceeding 1.8 days following a vaccine dose.
