Cells carrying the LexA-lacZ reporter gene and pBTM116 (LexA) or pYW71 (LexA-Rlm1ΔN) were grown at 23°C (open bars) and then shifted to 37°C for 30 min (solid bars) and assayed for β-galactosidase activity.
