Effects of Yeokwisan on small intestinal transit. For 5 days, the mice (n = 6/group) were orally administered Yeokwisan (100, 200 and 400 mg/kg) or mosapride (3 mg/kg) and then intraperitoneally injected with loperamide (10 mg/kg). Thirty minutes after the administration of charcoal diets, the transit distance of the diet was measured (A) and quantified (B). Red arrowheads indicate how much charcoal diet moved into the cecum.
