TASK-1 function regulates spike rate, but is not modulated by photoperiod. (A) Firing rate of dorsal raphe 5-HT neurons exposed to increasing doses of selective TASK-1 inhibitor ML-365 from Long, Equinox, and Short photoperiod cohorts. Two-way ANOVA showed a significant effect for dose of ML-365 (P < .0001****), photoperiod (P = .0042**), while there was no significant interaction (P = .6818). Tukey’s multiple comparisons revealed a significant increase in firing rate in response to ML-365 in all groups (Long: P = .0328* 0 vs 20 nM; Equinox P = .0497*, 0 vs 400 nM; Short: P = .0392, 0 vs 400 nM).
