Lymphatic insufficiency in Fontan. The pathophysiology of the lymphatic insufficiency (black font) is increased central venous pressure (CVP), leading to increased lymphatic production from the liver and impaired lymphatic drainage. This leads to dilation and dysfunction of the lymphangion. Depending on the location for lymphatic decompression, a disease state may occur (red colour).
