Relationships between characteristics of populations of A. vulneraria with altitude and latitude. For the altitudinal gradient, the effects of the three regions within the Alps were significant only in the case of maximum density (a) resulting in distinct models for each region. The results of Z-tests shown in between the panels indicate the significance of differences in the two correlation coefficients showing the strength of the relationship between a population trait and altitude or latitude. The Z-tests between the correlation coefficients of maximum density and altitude or latitude were calculated for the three regions separately
