Acetylated xylo-oligosaccharides (XOS) synthesized through one-pot reaction catalyzed by xylan synthase and XOAT1 or its variants. (a) Scheme of the experimental procedure. An addition of one acetyl group increases the mass of xylo-oligomers by 42 Da as indicated by [M + H]+ ions.
