Validation dataflow. 1. The Agenzia Regionale di Sanità Toscana selected from Tuscan Healthcare Administrative databases (THAD) the extracted population through the unique anonymous identification code (UAIC). 2. The list of codes were sent to the responsible for data protection of the Pisa University Hospital for the decryption process of patient codes that consists in associating the corresponding internal ID code. 3. The investigators of the Rheumatology Unit of the Pisa University Hospital acquire the informed consent of the identified patients and collect the clinical data of interest from their medical charts (reference). 4. The reference sample is anonymized again with the UAIC and data collected from medical charts has been linked to data recorded in the THAD. 5. Finally, the validation analysis was performed.
