Study design used for the development and prospective validation of the CovIx ensemble. Non-COVID Cohort (n = 284,904 CXRs collected between February 2008 and December 2019) was used to pre-train all classifiers used in this work. CXRs collected between March and May 2020 were used to train CovIx model ensemble, whilst prospective evaluation was carried out on n = 3289 CXRs between June and September 2020.
